The village is also an important stop on the West Highland Railway line, widely regarded as one of the World’s most scenic rail journeys and a must for any rail enthusiast. At Crianlarich the train divides, one section goes to Oban and the other on to Fort William and Mallaig. Passengers can take a trip from Fort William to Mallaig on the steam train which runs during the summer months.

Crianlarich is also on the famous West Highland Way, a 95 mile walking route from Glasgow to Fort William.
